This 90-minute, high-level presentation explores mindfulness as a clinically grounded, evidence-informed approach to chronic pain treatment.

Moving beyond relaxation or “coping,” mindfulness is framed as a skillset that reshapes the relationship between sensation, perception, and meaning-making in the nervous system.

We examine how attention, interoception, and cognitive-emotional reactivity contribute to pain amplification through predictive processing and learned habit loops.

Participants will gain a clear understanding of how mindfulness interrupts these loops, reduces fear-avoidance patterns, and supports neuroplastic change.

The session bridges theory and practice, offering a pragmatic lens for helping clients shift from pain control to pain reconceptualization and increased functional capacity.
